The group has made it to Panajachel Guadalajara where we have set up gigs everynight. We rode here from Chichicastanango, which was a cool little town. We have been playing a show every night so far and will continue to play shows here until Monday. On Monday night or Tuesday morning I am not positive bu I think we are gong to head towards Antigua and then Guatemala City and take a bus to El Salvador for the elections. From San Salvador,El Salvador we will take another bus to Costa Rica and then potenntially ride into Panama. Then afer Panama we will take a bus back up to Mexico! I am excited to get back on the road and continue our way down south towards Panama. I am also excited to go back to Mexico where I met a lot of cool people and made some new friends.

So now we are off handing ou flyers for the concert tonight and trying to promote the band a little bit. Heres the list of gigs for the weekend.

His micro-shack 120 square feet in size ‘on the ridge’ between the south and middle Yuba rivers in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas is now temporarily home to seven revolutionaries as we prepare for the Mexico/Central America tour.

Cory, passionate musician-guitar player from Portland, OR, and additional craiglist connection, arrived on Jan 5th post undergrad education boredom.

Dave the new drummer taking time off from his music studies at Berklee in Boston, and another new crew member/musician Josh from Worcester, MA, tiptoed into the shack around 2am, Jan 8th. Dave and Josh both met the band during the northeast tour.

Eight revolutionaries joined together in the Northeast in early September 2008. After travels started in NY, and continued through Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, flavored with gigs at colleges, boarding schools and house basements, river camping, tight rope walking, five members brought the tour back to New York. We were three men and two women when the tour officially ended. Kipchoge made the decision to take time off from touring to breathe, be, sing, write, travel, work on sponsorships, visit loved ones, etc. Everyone welcomed the idea of going ‘home’ before the potential Mexico journey even though the plan originally saw us on a route from NY to Florida to Mexico, with stops along the way for planned events or surprises but all part of one tour. We departed on separate paths into the mostly unplanned, immediate future with momentum, excited about possibly reuniting.

***Yeah, I realize how dense the experiences are in a month when you are traveling on bicycle. The human brain loves new challenges and works best when they are present. Senses are wild, open. Everything soaks in somewhere. New smells, thoughts, faces all create a primo playground for the ever evolving human consciousness. The stories of the Northeast tour are now for a story-like medium. Until that is realized, upcoming pictures will endeavor to sit in that space.
