Sziget Festival, New Media, and Tour Dates!

We find ourselves at a poetic convergence of time and place: exactly half way through our European journey and at the Eastern most point of our travels; Budapest, Hungary. We have loved following our trusted guide, the Donau river, over the last month, but are also eager to meet the ocean and begin our path westward.

SZIGET

8/14 – Pleasant Revolution played at one of Europe’s largest and most celebrated festivals here in Budapest, The Sziget, with over 400,000 visitors. As guests of the US Embassy, we were grateful for the opportunity to represent a different side of the US than many people of the world get to see. You can read some of the press of the event at :

The US Embassy sponsored the band’s concert at the large-scale festival on the Danube island, as “promoting the use of alternative energy and sustainable development are issues of priority for the Obama Administration,” the ambassador said.

"American power at its finest...." quoted by Eleni Kounalakis, Ambassador of Hungary.

"Ambassador Eleni Kounalakis instructs the crew to pedal harder as the sound system's energy supply dips."
