Dante’s Power Project

2:38 pm, by DangeDude

I (Dante) came on this tour by the request of Kipchoge to build four bikes equipped with human power generators. Each bike includes a 12volt 6 aH Lithium Phosphate battery, Brunton 12 volt 26 watt fold-up solar panel, Brunton Charge Controller, 12 volt Generator, 58F Capacitor, water resistant housing, cabling (for on-the-fly thumb shift engage), and wiring. All under 10 Lbs.

Peddle Power Generator

This Bike has a generator that produces power to run the sound system.

The bike is on a kick that holds the back tire off the ground (Xrtacycle center stand prototype).

There is a 12V DC Motor that acts as a dynamo. The dynamo rubbs on the tire.

The dynamo is connected to the Regulator.

The regulator consists Ā of a Blocking Diode (5 Amp) and a Capacitor (58 Farad, 15Volt).

The Inverter (Xntrax Pro1000) is connected to the Regulator.Output is 120V AC.

The two amplifer (120v 400Watts) are plugged into the Inverter (Xantrex XM 100o).

More to come…

When you stop the bike (e.g. at stop signs and such) does your music go down?
