Real Bike Routes

Yet another googlemap hijack for higher consciousness: There’s a new web site called bikely that lets you view the chosen bike routes of actual humans (as opposed to the computer generated bike route sites). And, of course, as an actual human, you can add your favorite routes. It’s easy! It’s fun!

I put in a route from Xtracycle HQ to Town (Nevada City), the back way. I think it will be better when they make the site wiki-styley, so you can edit other people’s routes to make them better, but it’s a good start. If you make a route, choose a descriptive name that will be easy to search for and helpful to other people. “From the bar to Wanda’s place” would be a good example of a poor name choice.
