I just got an email about the expanding business of this used-bike-buying company. They’ll buy your used bike, but also buy from dealers who accept bikes on trade-ins. No word on how they sell them, though ebay is a good guess. I love used bikes! Cool that people are creating a simple market for it.

I always thought that ebay was kindof an eco business in encouraging so many people to buy used instead of new. Of course, these days it’s such a shopping experience that it probably also encourages a lot of plain ol’ consumption of brand new stuff, too. But at least it changed the whole reality of being able to easily find the used thing you need. Now if only someone would link all the nation’s newspaper classifieds into one on-line site! I actually bought our bus Millie through such a system, but it only scans certain papers.
